I'm just glad 'we' (I live in the UK so we're only just involved, but I am Jewish), are finally going to help the Persian people. They deserve the help to rid them of that horrific regime

Yes!! … and if one is ideologically caught in a circle ⭕️ he/she is forced to have no escape and thus, while spinning becomes a mindless and feckless automaton : perhaps the many mindless antisemitic hate mongers !!!🤬

Shana Meyerson's avatar

They sure are mindless.

You know who isn’t kvelling? The Democrats and other anti-Semites who are trying to smear Trump as a war criminal conducting an illegal war. As if Senators and Representatives, among the dumbest and most ineffective bunch of Trump haters that ever occupied the hallowed halls of Congress are capable of conducting such a complex and time intensive operation as the Iran conflict! Good luck with that. And thank God every chance you get that we have President Trump and not President Kamela Harris. If there was ever a bullet that we dodged, other than the one that almost killed Trump, that was it.

OMG, YES! 👍🙌 Seen nowhere more clearly than with Chuck Schumer, who used to be the staunchest Israel supporter in Congress. The Democrats have literally become suicidal, just to spite Trump. They would rather have Iran, the #1 state sponsor of terror, get this win than allow Trump and Bibi to get it. They would rather keep terrorists and rapists in our country illegally than allow Trump to deport them. They would rather get rid of the tariffs that would balance our trade than allow Trump to get credit for the success. I don’t have a problem with people having ideological differences, but this is nothing more than self-defeating spite.

Kvell (and its gerund form kvelling) originates """from Yiddish """kveln, meaning “to be delighted” or “to swell with pride.”[dictionary +1]

This Yiddish term derives from Middle High German quellen, which means “to well up, gush, or swell,” evoking the image of emotions bubbling over.(Perplexity)

Hi Shana,

Your willingness to hold space for both the pain of the current reality and the moments that still fill you with pride and awe is so powerful. Even while things feel incredibly heavy and heartbreaking, you’ve reminded me, and many others, of what it means to see strength and resilience in the people and moments that matter most. We've talked about this perspective of holding this dual reality where we acknowledge the heart‑crushing parts of life while still noticing the sparks of beauty and courage that keep us going. It's also called 'nachas'.

Shana, I'm kvelling right alongside you!

The nachas makes me kvell! ✡️ Thank you for sharing all these moments and all these emotions with me the last few years. 🙏

Anyone else struck by the fact that the "Venn Diagram" of those who hate Israel and those who are pro-Iranian regime is more or less identical? Really, there's only one circle.
